A self-taught brazilian artist, Sergio Mancini has been illustrating professionally since 1987, his work appearing in advertising campaigns, magazines, newspapers, and children’s books. Also an accomplished portrait artist, cartoonist, graphic designer, sculptor, and air-brusher, he fell in love with designer toys around 2007 and has been collecting, creating, and customizing art toys ever since. In 2011, he won the MUNNYWORLD contest with his “Project: MUNNY” custom, which gained him international recognition. Not confined to only one specific subject, his style gives a soul to each of his freakish and unique characters, typically mixing a somewhat dark but happy past into every concept.
